Dhauligiri, also known as peace pagoda (Shanti Stupa) is a place marked with the serenity of Daya River. Both the Ashoka in about 261 Ashoka adopted the to Buddhism at this great Kalinga war, peace pagoda. The flows very near to places are enriched with green natural vegetation and scenic beauty. The construction of Shanti stupa and the natural landscape of Dhauligiri are places of pilgrimage for millions of people around the world. Unless the natural beauty is protected by suitable conservation measures, the place will lose its aesthetic beauty.

The historical river Daya and the peace pagoda Dhauligiri are the centre of attraction for million tourist around the globe. The natural landscape and the green vegetation around add value to the scenic beauty of both the places. But due to rapid urbanization and peoples’ unconsciousness the greenery of both the places is becoming extinct day by day. No effort has been made so far to regenerate the natural vegetation in and around both the places.
