KAPOCH, an association for socio-cultural integration and protection of cultural heritage has emerged as a formal institution in the year 2014. The core objective of the association is to protect the cultural diversity and ancient heritage sites of Odisha with peoples’ participation.
Many pro people initiatives have been added so far to institutionalize the objective. Awareness generation among general public and students, promotion of heritage base for tourism development, conservation of heritage sites, culture, art and craft, architecture and ancient sculptures are the core activities undertaken so far. Many other activities of public interest are also conducted, since inception, to carry forward the objectives. The uniqueness about the activities conducted by KAPOCH for years is the voluntary participation of many like minded and concerned citizens. This is the greatest strength of KAPOCH’s approach which ultimately is reflected in harvesting good will of many. The non-political, secular and the pro-public essence of the activities invites people from all corners for joining hands to protect and flourish our ancient art, culture, tradition and heritage. Following are some activities conducted by KAPOCH in the year-2016.
